Susan Coffey, LMT
Susan is a 2003 graduate of The Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge. She spent many years in the spa industry, specializing in therapeutic massage. Her work style can be described as deeply connected and focused, using her anatomical knowledge and natural intuition to help awake the innate gift of healing in her clients. In 2007, inspired by the effects of intention in her work as a therapist and her passion for excellence in the massage therapy field, she followed her heart and became a teacher at Cortiva Boston. She has taught Massage Technique, Myofascial Release, Sports and NMT and Advanced treatment for Injury-related conditions. She has also taught Continuing Education classes in Body Mechanics and Hot Stone Therapy.
In 2009, Susan took over the role as clinic manager in the student therapy clinic at Cortiva. She has mentored and helped facilitate many therapists in realizing their dream as they begin their journey as therapists.
She joins Renew Bodywork Center for Wellness, as a seasoned professional in the field. She will combine her love for teaching by supervising the graduate clinic, offering wisdom and understanding into how massage therapists can best utilize their skills, while they continue to refine. She will also offer her skills as a Reiki Master-teacher and experiences Muscular therapist. She hopes to extend the energetic qualities of compassion and intention in all those she has the honor to work with.
